With its humble location at the basement of People’s Park Centre, Jin Hair was founded in the early 70’s by the jovial Emily who believes in building relationships through hairstyling. With a slew of loyal satisfied customers, Emily’s passion has in turn influenced her youngest child, Priscillia, to become a professional hairstylist herself.

Led by this mother-daughter team, Jin Hair remains resilient and relevant in the ever-changing landscape, constantly seeking to provide better service by upgrading themselves with new skills, new equipment, and a newly revamped brand and salon. At present-day, Jin Hair aims and continues to bring wonderful hairstyles to anyone who walks in – without losing their warm, sincere touch.

Emily

Senior Director

Specialising in haircuts, Emily believes that a haircut is most vital in showing off a colour, perm, or even one’s natural hair texture. In her free time, the founder of Jin Hair enjoys exploring nature, traveling, knitting, and seeing her plants flourish in her little balcony.

Priscillia

Director

Priscillia was a stewardess for Singapore Airlines before joining her mum Emily at Jin Hair. She loves using colour to create hairstyles that are easy-to-maintain and suited to each customer’s lifestyle. As a mother of two, Priscillia’s free time is mainly spent with her family. She also enjoys travelling, going outdoors, and taking in the fresh air while jogging.

Joan

Hairstylist

Joan has been with Jin Hair for more than three decades – and this was her first ever job in Singapore! As the most senior hairstylist there, her greatest pleasure comes from seeing customers satisfied after every hairdo. Whenever she’s on leave, she prefers a trip back to her hometown in Kuantan, where she can enjoy family time at a slower pace.

Jie Ling

Hairstylist
Jie Ling has been in the hair industry for more than five years and she’s passionate in providing hair and scalp treatments as she believes a gentle touch can make your day.

Desmond

Hairstylist

Desmond exudes contagious excitement as he recounts his journey from IT to his true calling: hairdressing. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he has earned prestigious awards like the Newcomer Hairdresser Award and the Wella Top Stylist Award. Desmond firmly believes in the uplifting power of a hair makeover to boost spirits. His knack for crafting sustainable, effortless hairstyles tailored to individual needs sets him apart. Beyond the salon, Desmond enjoys shooting hoops and jetting off on spontaneous adventures.
